A lot of these moves are going to be for builds that are under 6’5 and also builds that have above an 80-ball handle. But at the end of the guide, we are going to show the best dribble moves NBA 2K22 for lower ball handles and also a taller build. So if you have like a play glass or a taller iso build, you don’t need to worry.

NBA 2K22 Current Gen & Next Gen Best Dribble Moves

A lot of people take the moves and they don't know what to do with them. We are going to show you exact combos and exact moves that you guys can do to help you get open a lot more in the park.

Dribble Style

The main ones that you want to try out here are going to be quick. The best one you can use is the Paul George. Paul George is a solid one, when you put this on you definitely feel different when you're dribbling. Sometimes you change the movement, but when you put on Paul George's style, you'll definitely feel it if you've never used it before. But quick is the one that you can use and this one's going to give you the explosive speed boost. With misdirection behind the back, this is just going to give you the best animations.

Signature Size Up

This is going to be a very important dribble move and the one that we're going to be using it's going to be D. Rose. This is the best signature size in the NBA 2K22. Another good one is D. Mitchell, you might be able to get that if you can't get D. Rose, S. Francis is also solid and D. Fox is solid. But the best one in the game by far is D. Rose.

Signature Combos

Signature combos really don't matter. Because this is when you hold r2 or right trigger depending on what console you're on and then you just flick up on the right stick. It literally plays out dribble moves. It's not even you dribbling, the player just does it for you. We don't recommend that you ever do this, this is more of like a beginner thing. But you can put on R. Alston because he does that weird hop.

Size-Up Escape Package

This is going to be one of if not the most important dribble moves in the entire game. You don't want to put on the wrong one for this. In season 7, 2K finally came out with these S. Curry size of escape packs. That means they finally added the curry slide. But if you want to be one of the best dribblers in NBA 2K22, it's just not going to be the move to go with. It's going to be T. Young. It's still going to be the best move in NBA 2K22. If you are not really good at the game, you're not the best with the sticks, S. Curry is going to be a really good move for you. If you're more advanced, T Young is going to be the best.

Moving Crossovers

This really doesn't matter too much. Just put on G. Antetokounmpo.

Moving Behind The Back

This one doesn't matter too much. Because how often are you really running down the court while doing it behind the back, not that much. But the best one you can do that is K. Leonard. That's going to be the best and fastest behind the back in the game.

Moving Spins

It's not NBA 2K20 anymore where we're doing a lot of like momentum spinbacks and just kind of dribbling. It's a different type of game now, so we don't really spin. But P. Hardaway and basic are pretty solid.

Moving Hesitations

The one you can have on is K. Durant.

Moving Stepbacks

This is actually a very important one and you definitely want to have L. Doncic moving step back on. Which is the best step back in the game by far. It's just insane how glitchy this step back is.

NBA 2K22 Best Current Gen & Next Gen Dribble Tutorial

Momentum Crossover

It's just a simple move it's been in 2K for as long as we can remember. What you want to do is hold the right trigger and then both sticks are just going to go upwards to the top right. If you want to go to the left side, both sticks left stick and the right stick are going to go to the top left. So whichever way you want to go, you just flick it to the top corner of that side with your sticks. This is a move that you're going to want to practice comboing with.

Glitchy Crossover

If you don't know how to do a crossover in the first place, you want to flick the right stick top right. So if it's a clock it would be 1:30. So get this animation now first. If you want to go to the left, it'll be 10: 30 o'clock. You just flick it top left or top right just like that that's the animation you want to get down first, that is a crossover. So we're going to do this to the left side, you want to flick the stick, you want to do the crossover. Right after you do that, you want to run in that direction. Run upwards in that direction if you run straight to the left or straight to the right, it's going to give you a weird move and it's not going to give you the full speed boost. So run upwards and in that direction, when you do the glitchy crossover. All it is a flick at first you don't hold sprint anything, but you flick then you hold sprint and then you run in that direction.

First, you are going to do the long hesi and then right away, you want to do the glitchy crossover out of it. So you can either do it the opposite way or the same way. This is one of the most effective moves.

If you're new to 2K, don't get mad. It's all about timing, it takes time, you're not going to get in my court and press a button and all of a sudden be the best guard in the game. Work on the timing, you'll be good.

Pull Down/Step Back

All it is right stick up, left stick down at the same time. It's just a flicking of both sticks, you don't have to hold any of the triggers, you don't have to hold anything. It's just a flicking of the stick. So right stick up, left stick down at the same exact time. It'll give you this move and this is a move that a lot of people like to combo out of. This is a move that really you don't get ripped on.

Luka Doncic Step Back

It's so easy to just spam back and forth, such an easy move. All you want to do is when you're running, you just flick the right stick down, that's literally all it is. So when you're sprinting, you want to hold the right trigger or r2 and you just flick the right stick down. It gives you that step-back animation. You can combo it literally right away.

Misdirection Behind The Back

You can spam it once you do get it down. But this is very tough to do especially if you are brand new to the move. It's going to be very tough to learn, this is by far the hardest move in this NBA 2K22 dribble tutorial. If the ball is in your right hand, in order to do that, right stick and left stick. We are going to flick them in different directions and we're going to do it at the same time. We're holding the sprint button. The sprint button is being held, and the ball's in your right hand, so the right stick is going to go downwards diagonally to the left. Then the left stick is going to go to the right. So the left stick just goes to the blind.

NBA 2K22 Best Settings For Dribbling

Before we show you the NBA 2K22 current gen and next gen best dribble moves and we show you the best controller settings. The main ones that we want to look at here are going to be shot meter off. That's for shooting, not really dribbling. Do have your shot meter off because you get a boost. Pro stick function, put this on dribble moves. A lot of people have it on default, but especially for a beginner, it's going to help you. You don't have to change this if you don't want to.

NBA 2K22 Best Badges For Dribbling

The best badges for dribbling you want are handles for days, quick first step, quick chain, unpluckable and tight handles. Those five are the best dribbling badges in NBA 2K22 and then bullet passer that's just going to help you throw faster passes. If you for some reason have more playmaking badges, the bailout is another badge you could put on bronze. But a lot of the other badges don't really do much. Like ankle breaker is not that good this year.

If you're trying to become the best dribbler possible, learn the best dribble moves in NBA 2K22. You want to get those down by yourself individually. Creating your own combos, getting in your mycourt, and practicing dribbling, that's the only way that you're going to get better. Need to buy NBA 2K22 MT? Head over to in order to get the cheap MT!
